This was announced recently, "Silicon Valley Company Gets Go-Ahead for Wireless Charging; Stock Triples". While it doesn't mention drones specifically, most drones use wireless technology especially with remote controls or flying through a smart device. However the Achilles heel for almost all consumer or commercial drones is the short battery life. Can you imagine a drone being charged while in flight? Or charging the unused batteries while flying a drone? This could be a major breakthrough in the industry and the technology in general. On a side note: Nikolia Tesla was the first to come up with the idea of wireless energy almost a hundred years ago. Sadly it's taken the private sector almost this long to bring it to fruition!
Cheers and Happy New Year!
